"Project could not be opened. Please check the logs." error

I didn't use unity for almost 8 months. When, I reinstalled the Unity hub (3.2.0) and also the LTS version (2021.3.8f1). Then I clicked the New project button and selected 2D core option and then named my project and then clicked the create button.. new project was created. After I click the project in the hub to open it, an error pops up saying, Project failed to open could not be opened. Please check the logs. And then the pop up asks to open the logs folder.. which contains some JSON files. After that I tried to check if the project was there in the folder which I used to put unity projects, but it is empty. I also tried to uninstall and reinstalled unity and unity hub.
